Kajo Zendo (former Dogen Sangha Finland) is based on teachings of Dogen Zenji (1200-1253), founder of Soto sect and Gudo Nishijima Roshi (b. 1919). Our teacher is Peter Rocca who lives in Japan and his student, Markus “Uku” Laitinen, founder and leader of Kajo Zendo gives talks on practicing zazen and Dogen’s teachings under the guidance of Peter Rocca. Three other Kajo Zendo’s instructors are also helping to guide the practitioners.
Our practice is based strictly on zazen (shikantaza) taught by master Dogen.
We have weekly zazen (every Wednesday) and monthly zazenkai. We’re arranging sesshin twice a year. All of our timetables are here.
